Terms of Service

Engine provides a fitness readiness score, training information and personalized Hyrox style training plans, and may later provide general nutrition guidance. Everything Engine produces is generated from the information you enter. It is general fitness information for healthy adults, produced by software, not by a person who has examined you.

The service does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Scores, plans, workouts, cues and any nutrition guidance are general fitness information only. They are not tailored to injuries or health conditions, and they are not a substitute for the advice of a physician, physical therapist, dietitian or any other professional. Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something the service says.

Engine deliberately does not collect information about medical conditions and does not program around them. If you have, or suspect you have, any condition that could be affected by exercise or diet changes, work with a professional instead of relying on the Service.

Consult a physician or qualified health professional before starting any exercise program obtained through the Service, especially if you are new to training, pregnant, returning from injury, or have any known or suspected health condition.

Stop exercising immediately and seek medical help if you experience pain, dizziness, faintness, shortness of breath beyond normal exertion, chest discomfort, or any other sign of distress. Do not resume training until a professional says it is safe.

Exercise, including running, resistance training, sled work, carries, lunges, wall balls and race simulation, carries inherent risks that cannot be eliminated. These include muscle and joint injury, strains, fractures, cardiovascular events and, in rare cases, catastrophic injury or death. You choose to train voluntarily. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you knowingly and freely assume all risks of injury, illness, damage or loss arising from your use of the service, whether or not a workout was generated for you.

You are always the final judge of what your body can do on a given day. Scale, substitute or skip anything that does not feel right. The Service telling you to lift a weight or run a pace never means you must.

By using the Service you represent and warrant that:

• you are physically able to participate in exercise, and you know of no medical condition, injury or other reason that makes it unsafe for you to do so,
• you have consulted, or had the opportunity to consult, a physician before starting,
• the information you enter is accurate and about you,
• you meet the age requirements in Section 6, and
• you will use the Service only as permitted by these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 18 to purchase a subscription. If you are between 13 and 17 you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

Users under 18 receive no diet, calorie or nutrition guidance of any kind. Any nutrition features Engine offers now or later are for users 18 and older only.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password secure and tell us promptly at support@enginescore.app if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

The readiness Score, station radar, rank card and starter workouts are free. The adaptive training plan requires a paid subscription:

• Monthly: $9.99 per month
• Annual: $69.99 per year

Each option unlocks the same paid features and differs only in billing interval. Prices are in US dollars and may change with at least 30 days notice, applying from your next renewal.

Auto renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method through our payment processor (Stripe).

Cancellation. You can cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.

Refunds. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non refundable and we do not give credits or refunds for partial billing periods or unused time.

You agree not to:

• copy, resell, redistribute or publicly share plans or other paid content, or use the Service to build a competing product,
• reverse engineer, scrape, probe or interfere with the Service or its security, including attempting to access another user's data,
• use the Service for anyone under the age limits, and
• submit false information or impersonate anyone.

The Service, including the scoring model, plan generator, design, branding and all content we create, belongs to Engine and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, limited, non exclusive, non transferable license to use it for your own training while these Terms are in effect.

The information you enter stays yours. You grant us a license to store and process it to operate the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service is built on third party providers, including Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (payments) and Vercel (hosting). Their services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free or that scores or plans will achieve any particular result, fitness outcome or race performance.

To the maximum extent permitted by law: (a) Engine, its owner and operator, and anyone who helps build or run the service are not liable for any personal injury, health consequence, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service, and (b) our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or fifty US dollars ($50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. In those places our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and forever discharge Engine and its owner and operator from all claims, demands, damages and causes of action, known or unknown, arising from or related to your training, your diet choices, or your use of the service, including claims based on negligence. If you are a California resident you waive California Civil Code Section 1542 with respect to this release.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Engine and its owner and operator from any claims, liabilities, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

We may change or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms. Material changes get a new version number and will require you to accept again before continuing to use paid features. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Sections 2, 4, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 18 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Talk to us first. Before filing any claim, email support@enginescore.app and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.

Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration under the consumer arbitration rules of a recognized arbitration provider, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. You and Engine each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@enginescore.app within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Engine about the Service. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a change of ownership of the Service.
